Nick Mini Golf

Summary: To explore the concept of a playable TV commercial, we challenged ourselves to rebuild a 1986 Nickelodeon mini-golf TV spot as an interactive VR game. Though the Nickelodeon network and brand identity has changed significantly since the 80’s, we crafted the experience in the spirit of the original ad, with respect to it originating from a children’s TV network. The game is very light-hearted, silly, and fun, and doesn’t keep any kind of score or give you the ability to lose. Instead, it’s meant to make everyone a winner, and be a fair but beatable challenge for all ages. We also added a surprise boss fight to spice up the ending of the game, and make the conclusion more satisfying.
